Art Specifications

Please contact TCA Graphics if you have any questions on artwork. The wrong type of files or poor quality artwork can delay your order.

Files may be compressed with Winzip.

If you currently have shirts made and don’t want to pay to have the same artwork created, send us a sample or picture of the garment and we will duplicate it and prepare screens or embroidery tapes FREE of charge. (This is for a basic company or organization logo’s only. Basic color count. ) We will require good artwork and a prepaid order of 24 pieces or more.
We reserve the right to limit the complexity of free designs.

TCA Graphics can reproduce almost any artwork. If you are going to supply us with camera ready artwork, here are a few recommendations.

Files from computer generated artwork must be in vector format. These files may be sent by e-mail or on disk or cd’s. Fonts must be converted to lines or the font files must be sent along with your design files. Large files should be compress by using Winzip.

For clarity Faxed Artwork can not be excepted. Quality of faxed information is of such poor quality that this format can con not be reproduced.

Scans can be performed on any original art work that is black and white format that as been produced on a high quality (300 dpi or better) printer. A laser reproduction is the best output. These prints will be scanned into TCA Graphics computers where we can add type or add color to the image.
Electronics files can also be used as scans that have been saved as a .tiff format (300dpi or better).
Please do not use jpeg, jif or bmp formats and do not take any of these formats and export them to any of the acceptable formats.

Film Positives - Maximum size 15x18 - Emulsion side up - Maximum line screen 60 lpi - tints ranging from 10% to 60% works best.

 

Vector Formats - This is the preferred type of artwork. Vector artwork consist of lines and curves that makes the art easy to manipulate by the use of nodes (or points) which can be changes within the graphics to either smooth or straighten the line or curves.
